Notes on Development
This project was incepted, designed and developed within one month as an entry to the 2017 ProductHunt Hackathon. Yarn was awarded one of the nineteen honorable mentions among thousands of entries, as well as follow-up requests for features and wider release by the ProductHunt CEO, a number of hackathon judges and social media followers. The final product features push notifications, location services, in-app real-time chat and a recommendation engine. After some improvements and feature adjustments to the original, Yarn was released to the App Store in 2018.
